Kitesurfing, absolutely, positively the wrong sport for 99,9 percent of the world's population.

Now it is 2026, and kitesurfing has become safer, better, more accessible and less stressful.

Please excuse my open words without any marketing blabla:

To be honest, kitesurfing should be learned from the ground up. It needs to be understood — not just quick, quick, get on the board, ride the first meters, job done, next customer please.

If You want to learn kitesurfing properly, including the knowledge behind it, then I am the person who will teach You.

At VIPKite, You do not book a school, a team or whichever instructor happens to be available. You book me personally. I teach You myself — from the first safety briefing to the last session on the water.

We do not talk about shortcuts. We talk about safety, understanding, control and developing Your own kitesurfing style. If You watch old-school kiters, their riding often looks sovereign, effortless and distinctive. That comes from understanding the sport from the base up.

I will teach You exactly that.

Ask Yourself one simple question:

Do You just want to learn kitesurfing as quickly as possible — just enough to get on the board and ride?

Or do You want to truly understand the nature of kitesurfing: the power of the wind, the forces involved, and the influence Your own actions have on the safety of Yourself and others?

That choice may determine whether You are still kitesurfing in ten or twenty years — or whether an avoidable injury has forced You to give up the sport altogether.

And to everyone who learned kitesurfing at a conventional kite school:

How often did You actually activate Your safety system during training? Once? Twice? Not at all?

Has releasing it become second nature to You? Could I wake You from a deep sleep at 3:00 a.m. and You would know, almost instantly, exactly what to do?

Because in a real emergency, hesitation matters.

Just one point to think about.

VIP Kite learning - experience Kitesurfing

Exclusive one-on-one kitesurfing — taught by me personally

VIPKite combines personal instruction, carefully selected locations, first-class equipment and complete preparation. The idea is simple: You should be able to concentrate on learning and experiencing kitesurfing — I take care of everything around it.

Why Choose VIPKite?

How it works

You arrive. I have already taken care of the rest.

Before Your trip, I travel to the destination with the equipment and kite baggage. This means that, depending on the individual arrangement, You can travel light — even with hand luggage only.

I check the hotel and Your room in advance: Location, cleanliness, access, surroundings and the details that matter to You personally. If something is not right, I deal with it before You arrive.

Even if I know all the kitespots we use, I inspect the kitespot every time personally. Wind, launch and landing areas, water conditions, hazards, access, local rules and the practical training environment are checked before we start.

In short: Everything that can be organized, checked, prepared or adapted beforehand is taken care of. Your preferences are discussed in advance and the entire setup is adjusted to Your needs wherever possible. You do not have to organize the details Yourself.

After You arrive, You first have time to recover from the journey, settle in and recharge. When You are ready, we begin the training — focused, individual and highly professional.

My name is Chris and I started kitesurfing in 2000. As You may have heard, the Atlantic Ocean has lost millions of gallons of water. That's because I drank it during training back then. From 2006 until 2008 I was part of PKRA (Professional Kiteboard Riders Association) and took part in the World Championship. I know all the old school kiters from base on and to be honest: This guys are my heros.

Please forgive me if I mention a few names here, because I cannot accept that they are forgotten: Flash Austin, Martin Vari, Sky Solbach, Alvaro Onieva, Marc Shinn.

But I also wouldn't want to miss German kite surfers who have influenced me with their tough, razor-sharp style: Jost Backhaus and Bastian Langer.
Names that have long been forgotten in a world of entertainment.

I learned to kite with a 2-line kite, no safety system and a large directional board. Compared with those days, modern equipment is an enormous step forward.

But there is also a disadvantage: good equipment can compensate for technical mistakes. A student may appear to progress quickly without truly understanding what is happening. In extreme situations, those missing fundamentals suddenly matter.

One example is speed control. A rider should understand how to control power and speed through board position and edge pressure — not rely only on depower or oversized fins to compensate for an incorrect basic position.

That is one example out of many. My philosophy is simple: equipment should support good technique, not hide bad technique.

Old-school kiters learned to understand the whole system: how to trim, how to repair, how to read conditions, how to control power and how to react when something goes wrong. That depth of understanding is what I want to pass on.

VIP Kitesurf lesson - Knowledge is safety

Safety is not a module. It is part of every movement.

I personally guide You through the safety systems, kite control, board control, changing conditions and emergency procedures until the important reactions become instinctive.

Knowledge is safety. The goal is not simply to make You ride. The goal is to make You an independent kitesurfer who understands what he or she is doing.

Learn Kitesurfing Like a Professional

Whether You are starting from zero or already ride, I work with You personally on the skills that matter: kite control, board control, reading wind and water, efficient technique, trim, safety, decision-making and — when Your level allows it — advanced maneuvers.

The objective is not to imitate a professional rider. It is to develop the understanding, control and confidence with which experienced kiters move naturally through changing conditions.

You do not book an instructor from VIPKite. You book Chris.

If that is the way You want to learn kitesurfing, contact me and we will discuss the destination, timing, Your current level and exactly what You want from the experience.
